TWIN BURNER MODUS OPERANDI
Similar to other manufacturers, we have elected to use a dual burner system to provide total flexibility and functional independence for cooking, hot water and heating; be it a radiator system or as the Romans did, underfloor heating (UFH) or a mixture of both. One burner is dedicated to your ovens and hotplates, the other is only interested in furnishing you with tonnes of hot water (and has no impact on your cooking experience), depending on the time of year your heating is ON/OFF via control of your programmable Room thermostat(s)... see wiring diagram.
The hot water is replenished at a very rapid rate via the cylinder thermostat( big family, large cylinder)... therefore you will never have a queue of people outside the shower room! Conversely, when you are cooking you are not producing any hot water, purely Cooking!; this means your system never has to "dump" excess hot water into the heating circuit - not what you want in summer! (this is a common feature of other brands).

Should you decide to run your Vintage on cooker timer, simply select ON/OFF time and temperature, and your Vintage will be at room temperature prior to firing up for supper, but still on demand will provide you with hot water. For a radiator system, place the bottom slider of the programmer (hot water) to "auto", and when driving a UFH system set to "Continuous", as the UFH manifold incorporates it's control system.
The technical equipment employed in your Vintage, is recognised and respected industry standard, the burners live behind the two left hand doors (central in a 1500) and allow your service engineer cathedral-like access, unfound in other makes, your engineer will find servicing a joy, with practically little work to do on the equipment.
