FUEL CONSUMPTION
How long is a piece of string? Well, for a Vintage its two ends are very close! Due to the almost obscene amount of insulation and high specification ceramics** used in the construction of a Vintage, the ovens achieve set temperature very rapidly, when at temperature the oven thermostat switches the burner off, the "beeper" beeps for approx 10 seconds, telling you the oven is stable and ready for use.

The burner will be at rest for anything from 30-50 minutes, depending on temperature, model type and frequency of opening the top oven door.
