OUR VINTAGE BOILER
In homage to the Golden Age of Victorian Steam Engine design. Our boiler is an arrangement of tubes and a " box in a box " configuration with a massive heat exchange area and a ceramic matrix to catalyse the fuel molecules, this is the principle reason why our boiler is capable of operating at a constant minimum nett efficiency of 92/94% on oil fuel, not achieving a peak and then settling to a lesser efficiency and having consequential corrosion failure ie condensing boilers.Please click HERE for Flue Gas print-out, for SK's Vintage. Our boiler has a water capacity of approx 80 litres, thereby effortlessly topping up your cylinder or heating and having a design life of 20/25 years!
Our boiler requires minimal maintenance, there being no moving parts or baffles to clean or replace! Your service engineer will not believe how good a Vintage is until he sees one!
...this data represents near perfect stoichiometric combustion of kerosene (light oil) - even when burning diesel or biodiesel the same numbers will result... these efficiencies contribute to the very economic running costs of a vintage - see extras "Fuel Consumption".
